Finally helmets are made compulsary in Bangalore

Early this week the HighCourt passed a ruling asking the Government of Karnataka to implement the rule of wearing helmets compulsary for all the two-wheelers. This time the rule is more stringent & better as it asks for both the rider and pillion rider to wear the helmet. Over the past decade this rule has been changed several times, sometimes made compulsary and sometimes revoked due to political pressure. This time though i hope it can't be revoked by the government as it is a ruling from the High Court and not the Government's decision. There is lot of debate happening around the city on this rule, where pillion riders are looking for an exemption from this rule.

Personally, i feel every 2 wheeler rider and also the pillion rider should wear a helmet for his/her own safety and should value for their lives. I don't know have the exact stats on how many deaths that happen on the roads of Bangalore are related to 2 wheelers, but based on the reports i have come across on a daily basis in Times Of India the stats are high compared to other cities of India.

As i was lucky enough to be unhurt when i met with an accident in February, as i was wearing an Helemt. So i am all for this rule, as it would save many lives on the roads of Bangalore.

Where is the Love?

Yesterday night after listening to this song on FM, i was analyzing so many incidents which we come across in the recent past. Truly a great song!

What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'
in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found

Now ask yourself
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

I am finally back on the virtual world

I am finally back on the virtual world i.e the world wide web. It's been exactly one month since i have blogged on anything and i have never had a chance to visit any of my fellow bloggers' blogs.

There are many reasons for i.e, Initally @ the end of last month had been for a 3 day trek to Gubbi Gundi Falls, BelliGundi Falls near Bhatkal, Mangalore. After that i was busy at work for few days. Then for almost 6 days we (i mean @ office) were cut off from the rest of the world, as our DSL line was cut by the Electricity guys [God alone knows for what reason]. After that there was this weird problem in our network where we were able to access only selected number of websites. No one had any clue why most of the common websites like yahoo, hotmail, blogger, citibank to name a few were getting blocked. Even the network admin didn't know where was the problem and how to fix it. But Yahoo and MSN IM worked absoutley fine, through IM i could still keep in touch with most of the friends, but i couldn't still blog for a very long time and keep in touch with bloggers.

From past 2 days i had some horrible problems with my desktop as well. So i put all the drives on defragmentation and left for home. Today morning when i see there was another weird exception, it's says my profile no longer exists. I had absolutely no idea how to deal with this Windows 2000 OS, i had never faced so many problems with Windows as much as i have had in 2 days. I was really frustrated and now i realise how these Microsoft products really work. Even though i created new profile and had to configure my whole development environment, but there was blessing in disguise. I was able to access blogger, yahoo and almost any URL and i hope i stay connected like this to the virtual world.

Well if some of u are thinking why coudln't i go access internet from a cafe or @ home, i really don't have that much of time on weekdays and on weekends i try to stay away from using computers.

At the end of this experience i had realised that i was too attached with blogging.
